Echosclerotherapy
Echosclerotherapy is an ultrasound guided injection technique for the permanent elimination of larger varicose veins. The purpose of echosclerotherapy is to close the vein(s) near their site of origin. These veins are larger, not readily assessable to injection, and in the past were only treatable with surgery. The use of the ultrasound machine makes it possible to inject these non- visible veins and significantly improves the success rate.
Echosclerotherapy provides an alternative to surgical stripping for certain types of varicose veins
